General/Artistic Director Pelham Pearce has chosen a slate for the 2008 Festival featuring the Broadway hit Westside Story, the American classic Susannah and the riveting The Rape of Lucretia. June highlights include: Benjamin Britten's first chamber opera, The Rape of Lucretia running outside of the regular festival season with just six performances from June 6 - 22; a new production of Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, opening June 28 and running through Aug. 9; and Opera Pops - A Tribute to John Moriarty, headlined by world-renowned opera superstar Denyce Graves on June 17.

Led by Musical Director and Principal Conductor Gerhardt Zimmermann, this year will feature a series of beautiful Champagne, Chamber and Orchestra Concerts. The June highlight is a performance by the poignant Richie Havens on June 27.

Led by Music Director Susan Grace, this year will feature five Festival Artist Concerts (June 11, 15, 19, 25 and 29), three Festival Orchestra Concerts in the new Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center (June 16, 19 and 22) and a myriad of free chamber and outreach concerts performed by students (June 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, and 30).
